THE WORLD AT AN END #262 -- The sin against the 8th commandment

Bp Joseph Strickland speaks about the 8th Commandment which prohibits bearing false witness. This is not just about lying, but includes all forms of falsehood and harm caused by dishonesty.
This sin covers things that even hierarchs today do.
* Distortion of Catholic teaching through modernist reinterpretation.
* Ideas on synodality that contradict Catholic doctrine.
* Assaults on the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) and labeling TLM attendees as rigid, divisive or disobedient.
* Rebuking traditional clerics as rigid, backward or extreme.
* False accusations, slander, gossip. A particular case is that of Cardinal Pell, wrongly accused of sexual abuse, as he uncovered irregularities in Vatican finances.
* Cover-ups and deception. A prime example is that of Cardinal McCarrick, who for years engaged in immoral behavior but which were ignored or dismissed by Church officials.
Many of these hierarchs are still with us, continuing to violate the 8th commandment.
