THE WORLD AT AN END #214 -- The place of LGBT Catholics in a Synodal Church

Friar Timothy Radcliffe, a former head of the Order of Preachers (OP), is a homosexual and a champion of all things LGBT. He fully supports Pope Francis in support of LGBT and claims that:

* In the Church there is a place for everyone. It is open to all. It should be where we should all be at ease.

REALITY: Indeed the Church is open to all people. But there is a price of admission. It is repentance and faith in Jesus. Is it not ridiculous if atheists or anti-Catholics would be admitted as part of the Church, when they reject Christ?

* Unity does not mean uniformity.

REALITY: Indeed. The Church is composed of people of different races, nationalities, cultures, preferences, etc. But when it comes to unity, there is only one call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism. See Ephesians 4:3-5.

Friar Radcliffe insists on the place of LGBT Catholics in a Synodal Church. Pope Francis shares the same sentiment. Let us see if indeed the Pope uses the Synod on Synodality to formally accept homosexuality.

By the way, if we talk of LGBT Catholics as those in active homosexual relationships, then “LGBT Catholics” becomes an oxymoron. There is no such thing, as there is no place for grievous unrepented sin in the life of an authentic Catholic.
