THE WORLD AT AN END #121 -- A papacy of contradictions

Here is an article about Pope Francis’ tottering credibility.

The Pope always speaks of synodality, and is deep into the Synod on Synodality. Synodality is about consultation, and the Pope wants to consult everyone, including non-Catholics, atheists and enemies of the Church. But the Pope does not really consult the world’s bishops. A prime example is Fiducia Supplicans, released without prior notice or specific consultation. And as we saw, many bishops, including bishops’ conferences, ended up openly opposing FS.

Then there is the Pope’s supposed "all-out battle” against clerical abuse. This has been a total failure, with the Pope continuing to protect abusers and snubbing their accusers.

How about the Pope suppposed to be a reformer, dedicated to transparency and accountability? It is all myth. Among others, this is manifest in the case of the notorious Fr Marko Rupnik, whom the Pope coddles, intervening in the scandal in Rupnik’s favor. But the Pope avers, “I had nothing to do with this.” This is a blatant lie.
