Pope Francis reiterates his belief or hope that either there is no hell, or if there is, that there is no one in hell. Such belief is contrary to age-old Catholic teaching. It is a boon for grave unrepentant sinners.
Rejection of the existence of hell is modernist thought. In looking to the well-being of man, it rejects the notion that an all-loving God will condemn anyone to eternity in hell. In thinking so, it negates the righteousness and justice of God.
Our Lady of Fatima showed the three children the vision of hell. Sister Lucia later affirmed that many are in hell. How many more grave sinners will go to hell, as they will no longer dread the loss of their souls, and thus not be led to repentance? Indeed, modernists no longer talk of sin but just acceptance. It looks to the mercy of God, but ends up offering false mercy that leads to condemnation.
