For many decades now, the isms of the zeitgeist have overrun and ruled the world and society. These are secular humanism, liberalism, progressivism, modernism, transgenderism, wokeism, Satanism (and others). These have wreaked havoc on faith, family and life. Woke ideologies had overrun the West, and the West spread its errors throughout the whole world. Things went quickly from bad to worse. There was seemingly no stopping the assault of Satan on everything that is of God.
And today the world is in a very precarious place. There are wars that can turn into global conflicts among nuclear powers. Cancel culture is running rampant, silencing conservatives and right-thinking people. Abortion is the law of the land. Transgenders are reversing God’s design. Satanism is out in the open. The Church is lining up with the zeitgeist. And so on. We are on the brink of destruction and even extinction.
But hopeless as things seem to be, all is not lost. Because there is a God who cares about His creation, especially humans. But God will not just reverse all the insanity, but relies on people of good will to accomplish His ends. And so we are seeing more of His mercy and grace at work.
The tide is turning. Here is a sampling. Many of these are currently breaking news.
American hegemony
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the US remained as the only superpower. For decades now, it has extended its influence throughout the world, establishing over 800 (some say 1,000) military bases in 70 countries (some say 178) with over 238,000 military personnel deployed.The US promotes its brand of democracy, not just with diplomacy but with staging coups and color revolutions against governments, interfering in the internal affairs of states, dominating the global economy with the dollar, exploiting developing nations’ natural resources, pushing woke policies especially abortion and LGBT, etc. It is said that the US has its hands in almost every country in the world.
Now such unipolarity is challenged by the emergence of China and Russia, which have united to form BRICS (with Brazil, India, South Africa), which looks to nations’ sovereignty and a more equitable social and economic system. 5 other nations (Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, Iran, Ethiopia) will join, with many more interested in joining, especially from the Global South. Combined GDP of BRICS nations will surpass that of the G7 nations (US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan) at $15 trillion. Or has already done so, with some reports saying BRICS now holds 32% of the world’s GDP compared to the G7’s 30%. BRICS is not a military alliance like NATO.
The US is also losing influence in Africa and the Middle East, with African leaders and the Arab League turning to Putin and Russia. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain has hailed Russia’s role in fair solutions of Arabic problems, versus the US that only looks to advancing its own interests and power. King Hamad, despite being host to the US Navy Fifth Fleet, has called Russia the most influential country on the international stage. That is quite a blow to US prestige and influence.
Boy Scouts
The Boy Scouts of America was the premiere scouting group with membership peaking in the 1970s at 5 million. Since then it has declined by 85%, due to sexual abuse allegations, and the decision to admit openly gay scouts and scout leaders, and later girls. It was renamed “Scouts BSA.” It used to mentor generations of boys into morally straight manhood and citizenship, but turned woke. Once upon a time there was the internationally well-known phrase of “Scout’s honor.” The loss of the Boy Scouts is especially felt, coinciding with an epidemic of fatherlessness.
But now others are filling up the vacuum. For example, there is Trail Life USA, which is a successful spiritual successor, and is currently exploding in membership.
Democrats
Democrats have ruled the US for a long time, except for a four-year interregnum with Trump. They have destroyed America, with their liberal woke policies, defunding the police, opening the borders to illegals, cheating at elections, considering prayer as hate speech, using lawfare on political opponents, branding pro-lifers and devout Catholics as domestic terrorists, etc.
Now Trump, the former US President and Republican nominee for this year’s Presidential elections, has taken a substantial lead over the incumbent President Biden, the Democrat nominee. The Dems are in panic mode. The only way Biden can win is through massive cheating, including millions of illegals voting. A final option is the assassination of Trump. If Trump wins, things will change radically. The US can be saved.
European Union (EU)
The EU aspires to be the United States of Europe. It is a supranational political and economic union of 27 member states, with other European nations striving for membership. The EU has come up with a system of economic, political and social life that tries to integrate everything, overturning the sovereignty of individual nations. It is liberal and woke, promoting abortion, LGBT, experimental vaccines, climate alarmism, and the dismantling of the Russian Federation. The UK, a former member, left the EU in 2016 with BREXIT.
There is much unrest among the population in EU nations, such as farmers with their tractors in the Netherlands, Germany, Brussels (the seat of the EU), Spain and France. There is much grassroots support for these protests. The people are against their governments’ liberal woke policies, as well as wasting much tax money on Ukraine. These revolts of the common people threaten election upsets in EU nations.
Various European countries such as Italy, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic are resisting a new pro-LGBT EU statement pushing for so-called inclusive policies that promote homosexuality and transgenderism, refusing to sign a statement for the “International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia.”
Israel
The Israelites are God’s chosen people, with whom He has entered into an eternal covenant. However, just as Israel was unfaithful to God and ultimately lost it all, Israel today is a highly secularized state, and even a regional center for LGBT.
Israel through the decades has dispossessed the Palestinian people, depriving Palestinians of their rights, established under the Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) in 1993 and 1995, accepting a two-state solution. It has occupied the West Bank and kept Gaza as an open-air prison. It has illegally taken over Palestinian lands with the expansion of settlements. Today it has devastated Gaza, reducing much of it to rubble, killing over 36,000 including many women and children (excluding thousands more under the rubble)and injuring over 75,000, displacing people who have nowhere to go (there are no safe places), destroying infrastructure and hospitals, killing not just Hamas terrorists but also medical and health personnel, journalists and aid workers, stopping the flow of humanitarian aid, including food, water and medical supplies, etc. There is famine, diseases and total displacement from homes. The stated aim is to remove Palestinians from Gaza. Zionist Jews look on Palestinians as animals (as they have publicly stated).
While Israeli and Western mainstream media (always a source of lies, disinformation and propaganda), dispute such reports, these are collaborated by the UN, the UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East), the WHO, UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, the Red Crescent, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, the Al Jazeera news org and other independent journalists, and accepted by much of the world. Protests have erupted throughout the world against the Israeli assault on Gaza.
Most of the Middle East, Africa and Asia recognize Palestinian statehood, denied by the UN for so long, due to vetoes from the Security Council, mainly the US. The US is Israel’s staunchest supporter, with financial, military and political support. It has used its UN Security Council veto power 42 times against resolutions condemning Israel (out of 83 times its veto has been used). It is said that Israel controls most politicians in the US, through monetary largesse and intimidation. The Israel lobby is also funding a third of UK conservative MPs, with many British Conservative MPs (up to 80%) loyal to Zionism (they were recently applauding Ukrainian neo-Nazis at a roundtable in Parliament, with former Prime Minister Boris Johnson calling them heroes).
Today Israel is accused of genocide in its all-out assault on Gaza, following an attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023. South Africa, supported by Egypt, Nigeria, Namibia, Bangladesh, Colombia, and most of the Global South, brought Israel to the International Criminal Court (ICC) on charges of genocide. An international arrest warrant is poised to be served on Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister, and on Yoav Gallant, the Minister of Defence. The US is pressuring the ICC to derail the arrest warrants, with Mike Johnson, US Speaker of the House, threatening to severely punish the ICC if it proceeds.
Israel routinely ignores UN resolutions on its injustices against Palestinians. As of 2013, Israel had been condemned in 45 resolutions by the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC). The UN has had 131 resolutions against Israel, which are just ignored. It has vehemently and violently opposed Palestinian statehood, but Palestine is on track to become a full UN member, backed by much of the world. The UN General Assembly overwhelmingly backed its bid. Colombia under President Gustavo Petro is opening an embassy in the Palestinian city of Ramallah in the West Bank. Bolivia has broken relations with Israel. Other Latin American nations, such as Chile and Honduras, have recalled their ambassadors. Israel is fast becoming a pariah among nations. The ICJ has ordered Israel to immediately halt its military offensive in Rafah, where one million Palestinians have sought refuge.
Many Israelis in Israel itself have been demonstrating against the state’s policies in Gaza. Netanyahu, who faces corruption charges in Israel, is deeply disliked.
Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum (WEF)
The WEF under its founder Klaus Schwab is at the forefront of striving for global dominance and world rule by unelected bureaucrats. He is the author of the Great Reset, with a global elite dismantling capitalism and enforcing radical social change, leading to a one-world government. Its mantra is: “you will own nothing but be happy.” Among its radical policies are forced vaccination, digital ID cards and renunciation of private property. Freedoms will be eroded. People will be forced to give up their steaks and eat bugs. With his partner-in-crime George Soros, they spend billions to push liberal causes throughout the world, supporting all things woke. This includes working at the appointment of liberal judges in US courts, which has turned the justice system on its head.
Now Schwab, at 86 years old, is resigning as Executive Chair of the WEF. His tentacles and minions are still in place, but having him out of day-to-day operations is a good beginning (though he intends to be Chair of the Board of Trustees in January 2025). The workings of the WEF, intending to establish a New World Order, is also more and more being exposed. Among those doing so are the well-respected Tucker Carlson and Elon Musk.
Liberals in America
Woke liberals dominate American life, infiltrating all institutions—government offices, education, health, public service, military and police, foreign policy, churches. Crime is out of control. Millions of illegals have entered the country, and are coddled by authorities. The nation is becoming socialist (meaning Communist). The prime principle is DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion), which just means excluding whites from everything. It is wreaking havoc on institutions, such as the airline industry (many accidents with Boeing planes) and medical schools (half of UCLA Med School students fail basic tests), due to prioritizing diversity over merit and competence.
But with the war in Gaza, the liberals have become divided and are fighting among themselves. Woke students and woke professors are fighting woke school administrations. The Democrat Party itself is bitterly divided over Israel. Young students and minorities are rejecting Biden, who has done the impossible in the Middle East, which is getting both Jews and Muslims to hate him. The woke liberals are in disarray. Even the most reliable Democrat constituency, Silicon Valley, has its venture capitalists and billionaires shifting support to Trump.
America can be saved by the defeat of Biden and the election of Trump this November.
Mainstream media
One of the most effective tools in advancing the liberal woke agenda is Western mainstream media (such as CNN, MSNBC, New York Times), which are full of lies, half-truths, distortions and propaganda. Such media effectively form and brainwash the minds of those who are ill-informed. Mainstream media, together with social media and even so-called fact-checkers, cannot be trusted.
The good news (pun intended) is that more and more people are aware of what is going on. Liberal media are being rejected (their ratings and viewership have plunged). And there are many alternative media that can give more reliable news, such as Fox News (not perfect but good enough) and non-mainstream media such as the Tucker Carlson Network (TCN) and Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter), as well as independent journalists/commentators such as Scott Ritter, Col Douglas MacGregor, Kim Iversen, and a host of others.
Modernism in the Catholic Church
Hierarchs in the Church have issued remarks, teachings, documents, etc., that contradict Christ’s teachings, the scriptures and Tradition. Many have been heretical. Many bishops are liberal and just accept such. Conservatives are quiet, perhaps concerned about their positions (they want to continue to serve the faithful), as those who speak out are cancelled.
But the release of Fiducia Supplicans (blessing of same-sex couples) caused a great outcry throughout the whole Church. Many bishops have now spoken out, especially but not limited to African bishops, whole conferences of them. They reject Fiducia and will not comply. The Russian Orthodox Church and the Coptic Church have also strongly opposed it. Now that Pandora’s Box has been opened, more Church hierarchs, as well as prominent laypeople, are boldly speaking out.
North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)
NATO is an intergovernmental military alliance of 32 member states—30 European and 2 North American (US and Canada). As a military alliance it should have disbanded after the Cold War, with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Instead, it continued and expanded. In particular, it went to the borders of Russia with Ukraine, threatening Russia at its doorsteps. Now with the war in Ukraine, with NATO and the EU continuing to support Ukraine with munitions, there is a risk of escalation to nuclear war. A significant aspect of the alliance is that an attack on any NATO nation is to be considered an attack on all.
But there are cracks in NATO, with European countries such as Hungary, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, Slovakia (there was an assassination attempt against Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico) and Georgia (a color revolution is currently instigated by the West and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has been threatened with the same fate as Fico) disagreeing with its policies and even sympathetic to Russia. France has been kicked out of its colonies in Africa, such as Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso (the Alliance of Sahel States established in 2023) while the Russians have been invited in. The US is also being kicked out of Niger and Chad.
Pandemic Treaty at the UN
The WHO, backed by globalist elites, is trying to get a Pandemic Treaty or Agreement accepted by nations in the UN. This Treaty includes unprecedented controls over freedoms—personal liberty, family health, national sovereignty. It will subject peoples to forced vaccinations, lockdowns of businesses and even churches, and border restrictions without any say on their part. The global authority can invoke pandemics at will. It is the work of control-hungry bureaucrats and UN globalists, who will decide how we live, where we can go, and what medical decisions we make for our children.
Talks in the UN are currently ongoing. But millions of citizens worldwide are objecting to it, through such NGOs as CitizenGO. 24 Republican governors of the US have warned President Biden about this unconstitutional agreement.
Sports
Sports, including the Olympics, have been dominated by woke ideologues. Transgender women (that is, biological men) compete in women’s sports and dominate them. American athletes support liberal causes and kneel on the field when the national anthem is played (as a sign of protest). Heroes are NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who started the kneeling madness to protest racial injustice, basketball All-NBA icon LeBron James, who is as woke as they come, and Travis Kelce of the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs (he is the boyfriend of Taylor Swift).
But another star of the Kansas City Chiefs is its kicker Harrison Butker, who spoke out for conservative values during a recent commencement speech at Benedictine College in favor of faith, authentic masculinity and womanhood, and for marriage and family. This caused a meltdown and firestorm among liberal wokes, who labeled him an extremist and petitioned the Chiefs to fire him (with 200,000 online signatures). The NFL distanced itself from his comments. Even the founding nuns of Benedictine called him out. But many, including celebrities, have stood up for Butker. The Chiefs owner and his wife supported him. Some Catholic bishops have come to his defense. His NFL jerseys have sold out. He just inked a $50 million sponsorship deal with Samsung and a partnership deal with the highly popular chicken outlet Chick-fil-A. He has even been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Vaccines
COVID-19 saw the emergence of genetic-engineering experimental mRNA drugs being touted as legitimate vaccines. These have wreaked havoc on the lives of millions of people who have had the jab. Many young people, including strong athletes, have just dropped dead (literally). Many people have died and many more will, due to issues such as blood clots, damage to the cardiovascular system and problems with liver, kidney and pulmonary function. An onslaught of reproductive and cancer cases related to the shots are also anticipated. A VAERS report reveals a 10,661.4% increase in cancer reports due to COVID vaccines.
Conspiracy theorists, with reasonable observance, say COVID-19 was a plandemic (sic), intended to control societies through vaccine mandates and forced lockdowns. Are the COVID-19 injections bioweapons to cut population? There is already talk of a coming deadlier pandemic. Big Pharma of course is salivating at the trillions of dollars to be made.
Now much of the rot has been exposed. Lawsuits have been filed. AstraZeneca has withdrawn its mRNA vaccine from the market. Pfizer is under intense scrutiny. More and more doctors and scientists are speaking out. A Japanese cardiovascular surgeon, Dr Kenji Yamamoto, has called for the discontinuation of COVID-19 booster shots. Dr Anthony Fauci, the prime mover for the vaccines, may be prosecuted for his lies and cover-ups of virus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. A Dutch court has ordered Bill Gates to defend himself in person in a vaccine damage case. A National Movement in Japan has called for a day of protest against WHO, Bill Gates, and medical tyranny.
There is hope for the world now in darkness and evil. Let us continue to beseech our Lord and our Lady for mercy and grace.
