Gospel reading: Matthew 18:12-14
Today, 99 of the 100 sheep are lost. If only one of the 100 were lost, that would be cause for rejoicing. But even with the one, “it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost.” (v.14). And so God wants all to be saved. In this regard, Jesus appoints shepherds in his Church to care for the flock. But what if it is the shepherds who themselves contribute to the loss of the sheep? This is what modernists in our Church are doing. And the higher the shepherd in the Church hierarchy, the greater is his responsibility in the loss of the sheep.
The sheep are lost due to sin. But the great tragedy is that the shepherds, by their false teaching, keep the sheep lost in their sin.
The gay person is told that he is born that way and it is God’s will for him to be such. So there is no reason for him to try to get out of his dysfunctional situation.
People are told that all religions are ways to the divine. So there is no reason for the Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jew or person of other faiths to convert to the one true faith.
Catholics are told not to proselytize, that is, to make converts. So there is no reason to evangelize and bring people to Christ and the one true Church.
Pro-aborts are not called out and are given Holy Communion. So the pro-abort is not taught about his grievous sin and guided out of it.
Priests bless same-sex unions. So those in sodomy continue on.
We continue to lose Catholics by the day. Many are not properly educated and formed in the authentic Christian faith. Many are actually taught by modernist pastors the opposite of the one true faith.
