Being liberal and woke (modernist), it would be strange that Pope Francis does not know the meaning of flashing the "middle finger.” But I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. I suppose his aides educated him, and so his original Twitter post was changed within 50 minutes.
But I have to say: Pope Francis has been "giving the middle finger" to conservatives, those who love the Traditional Latin Mass, traditional religious orders, pro-lifers, anti-LGBTs, dubia Cardinals, EWTN (he said it is the work of the devil), and those who advocate for Mary as Co-Redemptrix (calling them foolish and silly).
