Cardinal Marx on Homosexuality and the Catechism (Liberal bishops Part 93)

Updated: Apr 8, 2022

Sorry Cardinal Marx, but you just failed Catechism 101. But you know that, and that is why you want to overthrow the catechism, in favor of your perverted views.

Homosexuality is not a sin, but homosexual acts are.

Catechism is not set in stone, but reflects the wisdom of God as revealed in scripture and the action of the Holy Spirit in the Church through the ages. It cannot be changed by man’s preference or the distorted wisdom of the culture of the age.

Love indeed has primacy in the life of a Christian, but sexual lust is not Christian love, especially deviant sexual relations.

Our Church is indeed “inclusive” as it is Catholic, open to all. But only those who repent of sin and turn to faith in Jesus can join. Man needs to change, not God changing for man.

We do not threaten homosexuals with hell, as only God can condemn sinners to eternal punishment. What we do is to tell active homosexuals that their souls are in danger of eternal damnation. This is done not out of hate but out of love, desiring the salvation of souls. We hate the sin but love the sinner.

Cardinal Marx heads the German Church, and in their Synodal Way, they approve of blessing same-sex unions. No, evil cannot be blessed by the Church.

Cardinal Marx is a member of Pope Francis’ inner circle, in particular, the Council of Cardinal Advisors. Pope Francis has not said anything contrary to Cardinal Marx’s words, stands and actions.

Cardinal Marx is now in-your-face in his dissent from authentic Catholic teaching. I think the German Synodal Way is the frontal assault on overturning and destroying the authentic Church. It could be followed by similar deviant stands for the whole Church once the Synod on Synodality is done by next year.

The German prelate affirmed that the Catechism of the Catholic Church 'is not set in stone,' and that people are 'allowed to question what’s in there.'
